New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Friday that the Rs 3 lakh crore investment from Australian data center company AirTrunk will boost India’s standing as a global center for cloud computing and artificial intelligence while creating jobs, bolstering regional supply chains, and accelerating innovation-led growth. The Prime Minister stated in a post on social media site X that India’s digital infrastructure development is accelerating due to significant foreign investments coming into the nation. AirTrunk has declared its intention to invest approximately $30 billion, or Rs 3 lakh crore, in India. Additionally, the company wants to build 5 GW of data center capacity, making it one of the biggest investments in India’s digital infrastructure industry. The development of digital infrastructure in India is gaining impressive traction. PM Modi stated, “AirTrunk has declared plans to invest about Rs 3 lakh crore ($30 billion) in India and construct 5 GW of data center capacity.” At a time when demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data storage is growing quickly across industries, the investment is anticipated to further strengthen India’s data center ecosystem. “This is one of the biggest projected investments in the nation’s ecosystem of digital infrastructure.”
