Nellore: Senior Telugu Desam Party leader, former minister and Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy has expressed his anger at YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that Jagan has drowned Rayalaseema. He suggested that it would be better if YSRCP leaders held an introspection meeting at Tadepalle Palace to review what they have done to Rayalaseema. Somireddy spoke to the media in Nellore on Tuesday. He alleged that YSRCP is holding meaningless meetings for the politically unemployed. Conspiracies to create a rift with gun culture should be stopped: Somireddy suggested that Jagan and Co. should stop conspiracies to create a rift between Rayalaseema, Uttarandhra and coastal regions with gun culture from the moment they wake up. He said that YSRCP leaders do not even have the right to mention the names of the projects in Rayalaseema and Nellore districts. He said that in the five years of Jagan’s rule, only Rs. 2 thousand crores were spent on projects. He revealed that in the two years since the coalition government came to power, more than Rs. 12 thousand crores were spent on projects in Rayalaseema and Nellore districts. He clarified that another Rs. 10 thousand crores were allocated. He accused Jagan of making meager allocations in the AP budget presented during his rule and closing the agriculture, R&B and water resources departments without spending even 40 percent of the funds.

The Green Tribunal stopped the Rayalaseema Lift during Jagan’s rule: Was it not during Jagan’s rule that the Green Tribunal stopped the Rayalaseema Lift? Somireddy questioned. Didn’t former minister and BRS leader Harish Rao declare that he was the one who stopped the Rayalaseema Lift..? He protested. He mentioned that Jagan had also had a fight with the court after performing the water yagna. Where is the right to hold meetings for those who closed the drip irrigation system that is so necessary for Rayalaseema? They asked questions. They were angry that Jagan had acted very badly with his disregard for farmers. Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy challenged them saying that they are ready for an open discussion with YSRCP leaders to find out who did what to the Rayalaseema projects.
