Vizianagaram District: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bhogapuram Airport today (Saturday) and dedicated it to the nation. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Union Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, and several Andhra Pradesh ministers. Constructed at a cost of ₹4,727 crore, the Bhogapuram International Airport features one of the largest video walls installed in an airport terminal building. Prime Minister Modi inspected the video wall, which showcases the pilgrimage sites, historical heritage, and cultural richness of Andhra Pradesh, particularly the North Andhra region.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu explained the significance of the various pilgrimage destinations, historical landmarks, and cultural attractions displayed on the video wall. The Prime Minister also examined the artworks installed throughout the airport premises with keen interest. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and GMR representatives posed for photographs with the Prime Minister inside the terminal building.Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, and BJP State President P. V. N. Madhav travelled in an open-top jeep while witnessing the traditional Thimsa dance performed by nearly 13,500 tribal women. The leaders proceeded to the public meeting venue in the open-top jeep. At the public meeting, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu presented a Bobbili Veena to Prime Minister Modi as a mark of respect. He also honoured the Prime Minister with a Ponnur Khadi shawl during the event.
