No Special Law For BC’s in India: Minister Atchannaidu

Amaravati : Minister Atchannaidu said that there is no special law for BCs anywhere in the country. On Wednesday, the minister revealed the details of the BC Protection Act to the media. He said that they have been working hard for the past two years on the new law for BCs. He expressed anger that the weaker sections were oppressed during 2019-24. He said that a special law will be brought for the weaker sections in the manifesto. He said that a subcommittee has also been appointed to resolve the problems. He said that they discussed the problems of the weaker sections in the society at length. The minister said that NTR had provided reservations for BCs. Chandrababu Naidu increased those reservations to 27 percent. He said that 70 percent of the weaker sections in the state are from the weaker sections. He wanted the approval of everyone, not just the opinions of the legislators. He said that before passing the draft bill in the Legislative Assembly, they are also taking the advice of the Central National BC Commission. He said that efforts will be made to implement this law in all ways. He said that the sub-committee has been told to talk to the weaker sections’ associations district-wise. He said that the new law has been explained to the people and they have been instructed to take suggestions. Minister Atchannaidu stated that the weaker sections are the ones who are behind the TDP.
