Not a legislative assembly.. a misrule assembly. KTR’s flag against Revanth’s government!

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has expressed anger over the alleged brutal police action against BRS cadres protesting inside the Telangana Legislative Assembly. He alleged that the Congress government had turned the Legislative Assembly into a “house of misrule” and accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the police of behaving brutally. He was speaking at a press conference organised at Telangana Bhavan. KTR said his leader, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), had instructed party leaders and cadres to act democratically, irrespective of how much the Congress provoked them in the Assembly. He said they had entered the Assembly wearing T-shirts in the same manner in which Rahul Gandhi had protested in Parliament.

He said the public had closely observed the manner in which the police behaved towards former ministers and women MLAs Sabitha Indra Reddy and Sunitha Lakshma Reddy. He questioned under which rule the MLAs were stopped and alleged that the authorities had no explanation for their action. KTR questioned DCP Shilpavalli’s remarks regarding the T-shirts, saying the police had stopped the BRS leaders despite there being no objectionable words on them. He alleged that the police initially acted out of fear of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and later created a new controversy to divert attention from the issue.

KTR criticised the Chief Minister over the chaos that took place in the Assembly. He said it was ironic that Revanth Reddy, who often speaks about “values”, was now talking about values and ethics, despite allegedly using objectionable language in the Assembly. KTR recalled that he and former minister G. Jagadish Reddy had apologised to D.K. Aruna during the previous BRS government. He made it clear that he would not let the matter go until Revanth Reddy responded to the incident in the House and apologised. He also said that the BRS would continue its protests in the Assembly. KTR demanded that Revanth Reddy, whom he accused of presiding over a corrupt government, resign immediately.
