High tension at KCR’s farmhouse.. Congress cadres attempt to besiege it

Siddipet : Tension prevailed at the farmhouse of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) in the Gajwel constituency. A large number of Congress cadres tried to storm the farmhouse while beating drums. As a result, police stopped them at various points. The police were alerted after Congress leaders called for a ‘thousand drums’ to be played at the Erravelli farmhouse. Heavy security was deployed at KCR’s farmhouse, while check posts were set up and vehicles and persons heading towards the farmhouse were checked. As part of the security measures, police stopped several Congress leaders who were attempting to reach the farmhouse.

BRS MLAs leave for farmhouse

Meanwhile, BRS MLAs left for the Erravelli farmhouse. From the Assembly, the BRS MLAs, led by former ministers K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) and T. Harish Rao, headed towards the farmhouse. BRS leaders expressed strong anger over Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar’s alleged comments that they wanted KCR dead. Meanwhile, several BRS leaders who were heading towards the farmhouse were stopped by police at the Bollaram intersection. This led to an argument between MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy and the police. He questioned the police, saying, “Why are you stopping us when we are going to our house?” There was high tension as both Congress and BRS leaders attempted to reach the Erravelli farmhouse.
