A kilo of onion is Rs. 32.. from next week: Minister Nadendla

New Delhi : Minister Nadendla Manohar said that the state government has taken steps to control the prices of essential commodities. He said that the government will provide Rs. 32 per kilo of onion in AP. He said that onion will be sold in 115 farmer’s markets from next week. Onion will also be supplied through mobile counters. He said that the government will provide a kilo of jaggery on subsidy with the ration. He said that they will sell dal at 25-30 percent less than the market price. It has been revealed that the Center will contribute to the collection of 1.20 lakh metric tonnes of Kandi.

The Minister said that kandipappu will be distributed for four to five months. He said that they will hold discussions with the Center to control palm oil prices. He said that instead of 25 percent rice in PDS rice, 10 percent rice will be distributed. He said that the Center will implement the AP pilot across the country. They said that they will open 1,000 ‘Me Mart’ shops by October 1. They said that 870 ‘Me Mart’ shops are already ready. He said that 64 types of essential items will be sold at low prices through Me Mart stores. The goods will be available in small packets of 100, 250 and 500 grams.

Nadendla disclosed that grain payments will continue to farmers within 24 hours. He said that 37-38 lakh metric tons of grain is ready for collection. He said that the distribution of sugar and green gram in PDS will continue as usual. He said that the aim is to supply palm oil with ration soon. A gap of 25 days will come into effect for LPG rebooking. The minister welcomed Vijayasai’s political party. Anyone can throw a party. Vijayasai Reddy was welcomed into politics. Meanwhile, Minister Nadendla Manohar met the Managing Director of National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India and Union Secretary of Consumer Affairs Nidhi Khare as part of a two-day visit to Delhi.
