Take precautions by constantly assessing floods: CM Chandrababu with collectors

Amaravati : Due to the impact of a severe cyclonic storm, incessant rains are falling in several districts of AP. The government has been alerted in the wake of heavy rains. CM Chandrababu and ministers are issuing orders to the officials to conduct regular reviews and ensure that the people do not face any difficulties. Recently, Chief Minister Chandrababu held a teleconference with the collectors of the rain-affected districts once again. It is expected that rains will continue today and tomorrow as well. He ordered the administration of various districts to be on full alert. If any troublesome situation arises due to the rains, he advised them to go to the field level and rectify the situation.

The CM has issued orders to immediately restore roads where water levels have risen and traffic has been disrupted. He clarified that residents should be alerted where landslides occur due to rain… and evacuated if necessary. He said that there should be no disruption in power supply anywhere. He ordered to set up control rooms and take information from the field level. He said that in addition to focusing on filling up ponds, preventive measures should be taken to prevent landslides.

The Chief Minister made it clear that any help requested from the field level should be responded to immediately. He said that people’s opinions should also be collected through IVRS. He said that trees that were uprooted due to heavy winds in many areas should be removed immediately and that there should be no problem with transportation. CM Chandrababu ordered the collectors to assess the floods from time to time and take precautions accordingly.
