CM to fulfill decades-old dream… Distribution of regularization degrees on 30th

Amaravati : The Andhra Pradesh coalition government is set to undertake another major welfare initiative, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu scheduled to distribute house regularisation titles to beneficiaries in Vijayawada on September 30. Following the recent distribution of regularisation titles in Visakhapatnam, the government will now confer full ownership rights on 24,057 families in Vijayawada. The initiative aims to provide a permanent solution to the long-pending issue of house titles, which has remained a major concern for residents and a recurring election issue in Vijayawada. The regularisation titles will cover land valued at approximately Rs. 9,800 crore, with each beneficiary family expected to gain property rights worth around Rs. 40–45 lakh, depending on the location and market value of the land. The titles will be distributed across 15 mandals and eight Assembly constituencies, covering seven constituencies in NTR district and Gannavaram in Krishna district. The beneficiaries include residents of Vijayawada East, Vijayawada West, Vijayawada Central, Gannavaram, Jaggayyapeta, Mylavaram, Nandigama and Tiruvuru. The programme will also cover houses constructed on hill areas in three Vijayawada city constituencies.

Residents of Vijayawada’s hilly areas have been demanding regularisation for several decades, seeking permanent legal security for their homes and greater certainty for their families’ future. The issue was also raised by NTR district public representatives during a recent meeting with the government. Under the latest initiative, the government will confer full rights over 617 acres of land, equivalent to approximately 29.86 lakh square yards. The total market value of the land being regularised is estimated at around Rs. 24,297 crore. The beneficiaries include 12,093 BC families, 6,130 OC families, 4,546 SC families, 955 Muslim BC families and 333 ST families. The Vijayawada programme follows the government’s recent regularisation initiative in Visakhapatnam, where Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu distributed titles providing full rights to 28,445 families over land estimated to be worth Rs. 8,874 crore. With the Vijayawada distribution, the coalition government is seeking to address a decades-old demand by converting existing house titles into legally secure ownership rights for thousands of poor and middle-class families.
