Hyderabad : The Telangana government has taken another step to address long-pending land-related issues by allowing the registration of certain patta lands that were converted for residential use without NALA permission. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced the decision through Memo No. 48062/ULC/A1/2026. Under the new orders, eligible properties can be registered after payment of the prescribed NALA charges. The government has previously issued orders based on GO 118, GO 76 and recommendations made by a high-level committee. The latest move also covers the registration of houses, plots and flats classified under 22-A, provided they have approvals from authorities such as the GHMC, HMDA, DTCP or the concerned municipalities. The decision is expected to provide relief to property owners facing registration hurdles due to the absence of NALA permission and help resolve some of the long-standing land-related issues in the state.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has directed officials to ensure the effective implementation of the government’s recent decisions on land-related issues. He instructed district collectors to speed up the resolution of long-pending cases involving ULC (Urban Land Ceiling) and patta lands where the NALA process has not been completed for several years. The minister stressed that revenue officials should closely monitor the implementation of the reforms and ensure that eligible applicants do not face unnecessary difficulties. He called for all eligible services to be delivered within the stipulated time frame and in accordance with the government’s stated objectives. Ponguleti further emphasized the need for field-level officials to implement the decisions with sincerity and ensure that the benefits of the reforms reach eligible citizens without delays.
