Amaravati : The AP Cabinet meeting has concluded. The meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today (Wednesday) approved key decisions. The cabinet approved a total of 12 agenda items. The proposal to set up a Horticulture Information and Management System was approved. The cabinet gave the green signal to the APHIMS project at a cost of Rs. 20.62 crore. It will be implemented for 72 months. The cabinet approved gratuity for eligible ASHA workers who died while in service. It has been decided to give a gratuity of Rs. 5 thousand for every year of service. A maximum of Rs. 1.50 lakh.

The AP Cabinet has approved the upgrade of the 30-bed Community Health Center in Repalle to a 100-bed area hospital. The Cabinet has given the green signal for the upgradation of the Repalle Area Hospital at an amount of Rs. 58.42 crore and the sanction of 66 additional posts. Ratification of the guidelines and administrative permissions for the 2026-27 Mother’s Salute. The AP Cabinet has given the ratification of the orders on the increase in diet charges in welfare hostels and residential schools.

The Cabinet has approved the establishment of a Center of Excellence for tribal students in Visakhapatnam. The Cabinet has given the green signal for the establishment of an intensive residential coaching center for IIT-JEE and NEET. Approval was given for the change in the classification of 1.69 acres of land for the Kuppam Area Development Corporation officials’ guest house. Ratification was given to the orders issued for the regularization of land encroachments in the NTR district, which did not have any objections. YSR approved the transfer of 7.66 acres of government land to the Endowment Department for the development of a temple in Patur, Kadapa district.

The cabinet approved the change in the classification of 7 acres of land for a boys’ residential school and hostel in Kondapi, Prakasam district. The proposal to amend the AP Education Act-1982 and the new policy-2026 for the establishment of campuses of foreign higher educational institutions and private universities were approved. The AP cabinet also approved a comprehensive policy on the establishment of campuses, incentives and facilities of foreign educational institutions and private universities.
