President Droupadi Murmu visit to Anantapur

Ananthpur :President Draupadi Murmu’s visit to Anantapur has assumed great significance. She will be the chief guest at the first convocation ceremony to be held at the Jantalur campus of AP Central University on Wednesday. As part of this ceremony, degrees will be awarded to students and gold medals will be given to those who have shown talent. Special arrangements have been made at the Jantalur campus on the occasion of the President’s arrival. This program will reflect the progress made by the university in the field of higher education. In the wake of the President’s visit, the authorities have made very tight security arrangements. The District Collector and SPs are personally supervising and maintaining security with hundreds of police personnel. SPG security forces have carried out checks on the university campus, helipad and convoy routes. A multi-layered security system is being implemented to prevent any untoward incident. Along with traffic restrictions, special teams have been kept ready for emergency services. A grand convocation ceremony at the university Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, state ministers and many dignitaries will be present. About 1,268 students who passed between the academic years 2020 and 2026 will receive their degrees from the hands of the President. About 56 students will be awarded gold medals. As this is the prestigious first convocation of AP Central University, the students and faculty are preparing for the celebrations with great enthusiasm.
