Amaravati : The government has taken a key decision on the issue of local cadres of state government employees. Guidelines have been issued regarding the allocation of posts in the local cadres of employees. To this end, the government issued GO MS No. 46 on Monday. The GO clearly states the procedure for determining the cadre strength for the new local cadres in accordance with the Presidential Order of 2025. Special guidelines have been issued for the distribution of working strength. The allocation of posts will be done in 26 districts, 6 zones and 2 multi-zones of the state. The government has ordered that the distribution of posts should be done on the basis of service requirements and administrative needs. It has been ordered to prepare a department-wise Posts Allocation Ratio (PAR) and determine the PAR with the available service data mandal-wise.

The government has instructed all government departments to submit their proposals through a special online platform. Then, the GO states that the final post allocation orders will be issued with the approval of the Finance Department. It has been clarified that these guidelines will not apply to the State Secretariat, Head of Department (HOD) offices, All India Services officers, Law Department posts, as well as posts in public sector organizations. The government has given permission for temporary allocation of posts to Markapuram and Polavaram districts. It has imposed a ban on the creation of new posts until the staff allocation process is completed. It has been revealed that temporary restrictions will be implemented on promotions, transfers, new appointments and deputations. It has ordered all departments to take steps to implement the guidelines. With the implementation of this GO, the process of reorganization of local cadres in the state will be accelerated.
