Search operations for missing fishermen – Minister Atchannaidu

Amaravati : Minister Atchannaidu held a review meeting on the fishermen missing in the Polavaram seashore incident in S Rayavaram mandal of Anakapalle district. He met with Navy and Coast Guard officials on Monday morning and discussed the search for the missing fishermen. He issued orders to the officials to further expedite the search. The minister suggested that all measures be taken to ensure the safe return of the missing fishermen. Officials informed the minister that the joint search by the Navy and Coast Guard with a special ship, rescue boat and helicopter is continuing for the second day. They said that the search is continuing for the remaining six fishermen based on the information given by Kari Chinna. On the other hand, the Coast Guard will take Kari Chinna to the Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbor today. The missing fishermen include Kari Gangaiah, Amara Appalaraju, Kari Sithodu, Meda Chinna Ammoru, Kari Chinnaiah and Raguthu Bandiyya.
