Hyderabad : The Congress government has given good news to Telangana government employees and pensioners. The long-awaited cashless medical services scheme has been launched. It was formally launched by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Medical and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha. On this occasion, the NEHS portal and digital health cards were launched. The ministers also unveiled the EHCT Trust Deed. A total of 17.88 lakh people will get health security through this scheme. Beneficiaries have been provided with the opportunity to get cashless treatment in 886 private and 114 government hospitals across the state. Services can also be availed in corporate hospitals like Apollo, Yashoda, KIMS, Medicover, Care, Kamineni, Continental, Star, Basavatarakam. A total of 1,816 medical and surgical packages will be implemented through this scheme. From pre-authorization to claim settlement, the entire process will continue in a completely digital manner. This will be implemented through the EHCT Trust with the participation of employees and pensioners. The government will also give a share equal to the employees’ contribution. For its implementation, there are currently 12 wellness centers in the state.. and soon 24 more wellness centers will be set up. From now on, each wellness center will be linked to a government general hospital. Through this, the Telangana government has taken a key step towards providing quality, transparent and sustainable medical services to employees, pensioners and their family members.
