Amaravati : Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a lunch meeting with the available ministers on Wednesday afternoon. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said serious irregularities had occurred in the Group-1 examinations conducted during the previous YSRCP government. He expressed surprise that such an unfair evaluation of answer sheets had taken place in recent times. He questioned why the answer sheets were corrected three times. He said the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had submitted a report to the High Court regarding irregularities in the evaluation of the Group-1 examination. He advised the ministers that the YSRCP should be held accountable for the irregularities.

The Chief Minister directed all the ministers to study the SIT report thoroughly. He said the YSRCP’s statements should be taken to the public and the issue should also be discussed in the Assembly. He said the coalition government had committed no irregularities in the DSC recruitment process and that everything had been conducted transparently. He said that if the YSRCP raises the DSC issue in the Legislative Council, the government would give a befitting reply. He advised the ministers to be prepared to discuss the issue and substantiate their arguments with evidence. He said there was no need to fear anyone as long as they had committed no mistakes.

The Chief Minister asked the ministers to move forward aggressively and challenge YSRCP leaders to attend the Assembly. He said that if they failed to attend the Assembly and instead created a drama outside, people would not believe them. He said the YSRCP would claim opposition status despite not attending the Assembly and that it did not deserve such status. In the past, when the YSRCP was in power, Jagan had said that if four of the 23 members were removed, the opposition status would go to the TDP. The Chief Minister said the ministers had now forgotten those remarks. He reminded them that Jagan’s statements from that time were still circulating on social media. The ministers said they would raise the issue of Group-1 irregularities that allegedly took place during the YSRCP regime in the Legislative Council. On the occasion, CMO officials translated the SIT report into Telugu and explained its contents to the ministers.
