Tamil Nadu Cm Vijay Announces New Cars And ₹75,000 Monthly Allowance For MLAs

Chennai : CM Vijay announced that every MLA in Tamil Nadu will be given a government vehicle along with an allowance of Rs. 75,000 per month for its maintenance and fuel expenses and Rs. 25,000 per month for an MLA assistant. Speaking in the Assembly, he said that many MLAs who lacked physical and financial strength won as MLAs in the recent assembly elections and he agreed with the suggestion made by Congress Lok Sabha member Jyotimani that vehicles should be provided to all of them. He said that the government will provide other facilities along with the vehicle. TVK MLA Shanmugam thanked the Chief Minister for announcing that the government would provide new cars. The CM and the assembly burst into laughter as all the MLAs were saying that it would be convenient for them to buy an Innova.
