Tata Madhu’s comments on the Speaker are incorrect.. All BJP MLAs condemn it: Yeleti

Hyderabad, September 7: BJP leader Eleti Maheshwar Reddy on Monday condemned the remarks made by BRS MLC Tata Madhu against Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, Maheshwar Reddy said it was inappropriate for Tata Madhu to make such remarks against the Speaker. He said all BJP MLAs condemned the language used by the BRS MLC. Opposition Leader K. Chandrashekar Rao also demanded an apology from Tata Madhu.

Maheshwar Reddy questioned whether Tata Madhu had made the remarks deliberately or whether someone had prompted him to do so. He demanded that Tata Madhu be dismissed in connection with the incident. Referring to the 22A issue, Maheshwar Reddy said the Minister himself had apologised over the matter. He said that if the authorities were being accused on any grounds, they should respond to the allegations. He further said the agitation would be called off if Minister D. Sridhar Babu promised to order an inquiry headed by a sitting judge. Maheshwar Reddy criticised the government for avoiding a direct response to the issue and alleged that it was resorting to diversionary politics. He also questioned whether a forensic audit had been conducted in connection with the protest. “If a forensic audit was conducted, why has the report not been made public?” he asked, demanding that the reports be placed in the public domain.
