We showed the videos of the police attack on Sabitha to the Governor: KTR

Hyderabad : BRS Working President and MLA K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) said that he had explained the situation in Telangana to Governor Shiva Pratap Shukla during a meeting with BRS MLAs on Wednesday. KTR said the delegation brought several issues to the Governor’s attention, including the alleged manner in which police treated women MLAs, the incident involving former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s residence, and other recent developments. Speaking to the media later, KTR expressed anger over being stopped on the road while he was on his way to the Assembly. He also criticised the police for their alleged inappropriate behaviour towards women MLAs. KTR said videos showing the alleged police attack on former minister and MLA Sabitha Indra Reddy were shown to the Governor. He also alleged that MLA Sunitha was subjected to inappropriate treatment, claiming that her saree was pulled during the incident.

Responding to criticism over BRS MLAs wearing black T-shirts similar to those worn by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, KTR said the BRS legislators had full respect for the Speaker. He described the treatment of elected representatives as an insult not only to MLAs but also to the people of Telangana. KTR further alleged that thousands of Congress workers had gathered at the residence of former Chief Minister KCR and demanded money in connection with his death, claiming that the gathering was instigated by the Chief Minister. He said the issue was also brought to the Governor’s attention. According to KTR, the Governor assured the BRS delegation that no action would be taken regarding matters that occurred inside the Assembly and that an inquiry would be conducted into the incidents that took place outside the Assembly.
