Retirement age increased for AP government employees

Amaravati : The state cabinet has given good news to 30 thousand government employees in Andhra Pradesh. Several key decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday. The cabinet has taken a decision to increase the retirement age of employees working in public sector organizations. The cabinet has approved the increase in the retirement age of employees of public sector organizations, gurukula educational institutions and societies from 60 years to 62 years. Also, as per Memo-57, the cabinet has approved the implementation of the old pension system (OPS) from the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) for about 11 thousand employees appointed through notification before the year 2004.
