Anita fires back over DSC controversy.. Jagan’s allegations are countered with 16 thousand jobs

Amaravati : Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has criticised former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging that his actions have contributed to law-and-order concerns in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media on Thursday, Anitha said the state had witnessed several controversial incidents during the previous government and claimed that the situation had changed under the present administration. She said the government’s focus on maintaining law and order was helping create an environment conducive to industries and investments. The Home Minister alleged that efforts were being made to create disturbances in the state at a time when Andhra Pradesh was progressing in various sectors. She further claimed that individuals with criminal backgrounds were being encouraged to create problems on the streets.

Anitha also alleged that several recent inspections involved people whom she described as rowdy-sheeters, ganja offenders and other anti-social elements. She criticised these alleged activities and said the government would continue taking steps to maintain peace and public order. Meanwhile, Minister Nara Lokesh reiterated the government’s commitment to employment generation. He said the government had promised to conduct the District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment process and stated that around 16,000 jobs had been filled within 150 days.
