Hyderabad : The Central Election Commission has given a shock to the ‘Telangana Rakshana Sena’ (TRS) party founded by Kalvakuntla Kavitha. The EC has issued orders asking Kavitha to change the name of her new party. The Election Commission has stated that objections are being raised from the public against the name Telangana Rakshana Sena. It has ordered that three alternative names be submitted within 15 days. Otherwise, it has warned that the application will be closed. The EC has written a letter to Kavitha stating that the name TRS cannot be continued. The name dispute has created serious obstacles in the registration of Kavitha’s new party. Due to this, the EC has suggested that the application be revised with new names. Kavitha responded to the EC’s letter. She said that she has officially replied to the two objections received from the EC. However, Kavitha clarified that she will not be given new names. She is ready for a legal fight.
