Hyderabad: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy met Godrej Industries Group President (Corporate Affairs) Rakesh Swamy and Godrej Agrovet Oil Palm Business CEO Sougato Niyogi at the Bodhi Pavilion of MCRHRD on Wednesday. Rakesh Swamy submitted a report to the Chief Minister on the expansion of oil palm cultivation under the auspices of Godrej Agrovet Company. The first private integrated oil palm complex in Telangana will be launched soon. In this context, the CM discussed several key issues.

This project, which is being set up with an investment of Rs. 300 crore in Khammam district, will provide employment to more than 700 people. The state government has allotted 113.5 acres of land to Godrej Agrovet in Gubbagurthi village of Konijarla mandal of Khammam district for setting up an oil palm processing, nursery, R&D center and seed garden. The company has requested the government to allocate an additional 35 to 40 acres of land for the seed garden. Representatives of the company have requested the Chief Minister to widen the road for the processing mill. CM Revanth Reddy has instructed the concerned officials to take up the road widening under the auspices of TGIIC.
