Amaravati :Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan extended his greetings to all weavers and artisans on the occasion of National Handloom Day. He said that we should respect the skilled hands that keep India’s great weaving heritage alive. He said that every handloom reflects our culture, craftsmanship and the spirit of self-reliance. He said that by choosing handloom, we will protect the traditions of the country and strengthen the livelihood of weavers. He said that he is proud to be the brand ambassador of handloom. Pawan said that the Jana Sena Party has set up a special Weavers’ Development Department in its organizational structure to promote, protect and empower the handloom sector. Pawan said that the NDA government is committed to the welfare of handloom workers. He said that several programs are being implemented, including the ‘Netanna Sevalo’ scheme, which provides free electricity and Rs. 25,000 assistance to eligible weavers. He explained that the government is undertaking several welfare programs to preserve India’s invaluable handloom heritage.
