Employees should work to ensure that welfare schemes reach the people: CM Revanth Reddy

Karimnagar : Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that welfare schemes should reach the poor and eligible beneficiaries without any gaps. During his visit to Karimnagar on Wednesday, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Collectorate building complex. He also unveiled a statue of Telangana Thalli in front of the Collectorate and laid the foundation stones for several development projects. Addressing the gathering later, Revanth Reddy said government employees serve as representatives of the Congress government at the grassroots level. He noted that officials play a crucial role in taking welfare and development programmes to the people and ensuring their effective implementation. The Chief Minister said the government was addressing the concerns of employees and assured that the remaining issues would also be resolved.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that the image of the government, whether positive or negative, largely depends on the performance of government employees. He said the government has initiated measures worth ₹944 crore for the welfare of employees and urged them to work diligently to ensure that welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiaries. The Chief Minister said the government is moving forward with the cooperation of all sections of society. He advised officials to treat people who approach government offices for assistance with empathy and to consider them as members of their own families.

Revanth Reddy directed officials to provide prompt solutions to the problems faced by poor and needy people. He said welfare programmes are being implemented in coordination between the Central and state governments. The Chief Minister also stressed the need to keep development programmes above political considerations, particularly during election periods. He said the Centre and the state should maintain a cooperative approach and work together constructively during non-election periods.
