Amaravati : Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said that the Chief Minister’s intention is to explain to the people about the two-year rule from time to time. As part of that, a series of programs are being organized. Speaking on the progress of the endowment department in the past two years, Anam criticized the chaotic atmosphere in the state between 2019-24. He was angry that the previous government forgot that temples are a part of society. He said that when it was planned to start spiritual programs in 2024, devotees and Hindu relatives had already faced many difficulties. He recalled that many incidents like the beheading of Lord Ram in Ramatirdham, the disappearance of silver lions in Durgamma Kshetra, and the burning of a chariot in the inner temple had taken place. He expressed anger that the previous government had not even expressed remorse.

The minister said that CM Chandrababu’s goal is to cleanse all the temples along with TTD and take them forward in a Vedic manner. He said that the Chief Minister is taking things forward with the most sacred thoughts with the suggestions and advice of the Chief Minister. He said that many temples have been brought as spiritual and traditional preservation centers. In temples with low income, there is no way to light a lamp. Therefore, he said that ten thousand rupees are being given every month for the renovation of the temples. He said that work has been started in 692 temples. He said that funds are being provided from the Common Good Fund. He said that it has been decided to construct Bhajan Mandirs through the State Endowment Department with the convenience of TTD.

The Minister said that digital transformation has been brought in the Endowment Department. He said that by arranging everything online, frauds committed in the name of God have been reduced to a great extent. He said that people’s trust in temple services has increased further with the digital system. He said that after the government came to power, 970 boards of trustees have been appointed. Governing bodies should be appointed for 449 temples. Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said that CM Chandrababu has said that steps should be taken to distribute Annaprasada in 65 temples in the coming days.
